This transformational activity is a part of our college and career series, which brings awareness to our participants about post-secondary options. It has taken place since 2016 and supports higher educational institutions designed to educate people of color. Throughout this experience, we introduce participants to explore a variety of out of state HBCU’s (private and public), where they will have the opportunity to meet with current students, faculty, and staff, and student organizations, as well as learn about campus resources, programs offered, and admission requirements.
We also go beyond the educational experience and introduce cultural activities such as visiting plantations, historic sites, and team building activities. STAR Girlz HBCU Tour typically takes place the last week of September and the third week of March.
Although this is our main focus, we also provide vocational training and community college education opportunities that supports the goals of entrepreneurship and corporate careers of all participants needs.
